We create innovative and unique escape room experiences and focus on weekend availability Friday-Sunday 8am-10pm - The rest of the week we are busy building, improving and creating awesome! But don't worry, if you need a custom booking time during the week, please Contact Us to discuss the options. We're open most public holidays, with extended availability on Wednesday & Thursday (2pm-10pm) during school holidays.
PUZZLE ROOM - ESCAPE ROOM - WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
Escape rooms are team-based entertainment where you work together to complete a mission within a set time limit. Along the way you’ll solve puzzles, unlock things and uncover a few mysteries or surprises. If you get stuck or aren’t sure how to proceed, you can call the Game Master (via walkie-talkie) to request a clue or ask a question.
Our puzzle rooms are similar to escape rooms, but the puzzle-solving is more linear and your attention is focused in a single-room experience. In this format you’ll also be able to get your own clues while staying in the game. The Game Master is always available if you need more help than the game can provide.
Every one of our experiences is unique, so we provide game information to help you choose the right one.

We recommend this room if:
You want a realistic environment and more logical puzzles. You are okay with low light environments.
What makes this different?
This room is built from the story up, which means the puzzles and the answers revolve around the characters - there is also a deeper story eluded to if you are willing to read into the details. Due to the realistic setup, there are plenty of props and not everything you see is a clue, so keep focused on your mission and treat this as if it's really happening...
Story:
You find yourself in a post apocalyptic world and you are infected with the zombie virus!
Your leader Scott left two hours ago to find a potential vaccine in an old military bunker, but he hasn't returned. It's now up to your team to find Scott and save yourself.

You like fantasy theming and a decent challenge - there is quite a lot to complete within your 60 minute time limit. If you are considering trying all our rooms, we recommend playing Escape The Evil Wizard, before attempting this room.
What makes this different?
A beautifully themed fantasy house, it contains lots of props and a rich level of detail. With a lantern in one hand you explore this cute and mysterious gnomes' house. This room has two different stories you can play - Gnome's Adventure is the Standard Mode and Escape The Evil Wizard is the Dark Mode.
Story:
Your uncle is often away adventuring, and always returns with fantastic stories, some are so epic they are hard to believe! Today you uncle has invited you to his house to prove yourself, if you can complete the challenges and find out where your uncle has gone, you can join him on his latest adventure. Are you ready!

You like fantasy style games and don't mind the dark. You are searching for a spooky style game, but don't want jump physical scares. If you are considering trying all our rooms, we recommend playing this before attempting Gnome's Adventure.
What makes this different?
A beautifully themed fantasy house, it contains lots of props and a rich level of detail. The room remains dimly lit for the entire experience and creepy sound effects and music fill the room. Escape The Evil Wizard is an alternative Gnome's Adventure story, which enables you to play the same room again but with a very different experience and fresh puzzles.
Story:
You are chased by an evil wizard!
You run to your uncles house, who is an adventurous gnome... but he is away on an adventure at the moment, so he can't help you. You find safety for a moment, but he wizard knows he can break in, it's just a matter of time.
You must find the secret exit and escape the wizard.
Recommended for teams of 2-4 people.

We recommend this room if:
You are new to escape rooms or just want something very different. The room has more focused puzzling and less exploring as it's a single room experience.
What makes this different?
This is a re-playable puzzle room, a very different style of escape room. While this is a single room experience, you'll still need to search and explore to find the correct puzzles. Puzzles are completed sequentially (one puzzle at a time). We add puzzles to this room over time, at last count there were more than 50! If you play this room more than once, most of the puzzles will be new, it's always a unique selection.
Story:
The Mad Hatter heard you love puzzles... he has shrunken you down and put you in his puzzling hat! Before you can escape, you must complete 10 puzzles that the Mad Hatter has selected for you.
Complete 10 puzzles, puzzles are completed in order.

We recommend this room if:
You enjoy challenging puzzles and are happy with a focused single room experience. You enjoy liner 'lock and key' gameplay, as this room focuses more on the puzzles and less on creative lock mechanics.
What makes this different?
This single room experience is designed with challenging puzzles and an extra team member, your hacker Sam. Like any good heist or spy film, you have a man on the outside ready to provide info and ideas to help you complete your mission. You may use Sam as much or as little as you like, but remember he is part of your team, part of the game and expect this to be a real challenge without his assistance.
Story:
Your crew of professional thieves must steal the jewel-covered crown.
The plan is solid, the studio is empty for 60 minutes, but heists are never easy. Your team mate Sam has hacked into the security cameras and is available to help out in any way he can - Sam has resources you don't, he is vital to you completing this mission.
Search the photography studio, find the crown and escape.
Recommended for teams of 2-4 people.

Getting here
By car – Set your GPS to 65 Karepiro Drive, Stanmore Bay 0943. There’s a free off-street car park right outside our front door; overflow parking is available along Karepiro Drive.
By bus – Hop on Auckland Transport routes 981 (Waiwera ↔ Hibiscus Coast Station) or 982 (Gulf Harbour ↔ Hibiscus Coast Station). Both stop at “Stanmore Bay Leisure Centre” on Brightside Road—about a 3-minute stroll to us via Karepiro Drive. Buses run every 30 min ± at peak.
Arrive relaxed
Please arrive 15 minutes before your booking so we can brief your team, lock away belongings and start on time (we have free lockers). Late arrivals may have playing time shortened to keep the schedule fair for the next group.
Pre-game coffee & post-game bites
Need fuel for those brain cells? Accessibility & families
Our venue is single-level with step-free entry. Only one of our escape rooms has wheelchair-friendly access, the others are up stairs. Lighting in most rooms can be adjusted if required - please let us know in advance if you have any accessibility requirements and we'll do our best to accomodate.
